Type Locality and Naming
Faure, 1966. Named after a high peak in the Téfidet graben, which to the south-east of Tchérézérine, dominates the Tagrezou vertebrate deposits. Group: Téfidet Gr.

Lithology and Thickness
Middle-to fine-grained sandstones, either beige-pink or reddish, with a cross- or overturned stratifications at some places associated with hydroplastic deformations. Thickness is more than 200 m.
